FinanceDublin.com - <b>Deals of the Year 2023: </b>Aergo acquisition of Seraph reflects importance of timing in M&A

In M&A transactions timing is everything. This was reflected in Aergo Capital’s acquisition of Seraph Aviation last year. Having slimmed down its portfolio from 80 aircraft in mid-2017 to just 20 when the pandemic hit, Aergo Capital has since expanded rapidly to become a $7 billion, top 20 player in the global market with over 300 aircraft.

Aergo Capital acquired Seraph Aviation Management and its $2.5 billion portfolio of 88 aircraft on lease to 38 unique lessees. The deal lifted Aergo’s owned and managed aircraft assets by 58 per cent to $6.8 billion, giving it a total of 304 aircraft assets.
