FinanceDublin.com - <b>Deals of the Year 2023: </b>Innovative PPP to transform community healthcare provision

The Health Service Executive’s project with EquiSisk will transform Community Care at seven sites across Ireland, replacing old style ward accommodation and increasing the provision of local residential care for older people and those with dementia in sustainable, efficient accommodation designed around their needs.

The first ever Public Private Partnership financing for community nursing, EquiSisk is a joint venture between Equitix and John Sisk & Sons. It was appointed by the Health Service Executive to design, build and finance seven high quality residential social care facilities and to maintain them for a 25-year period before being handed back into public ownership. This €250 million project will provide 530 short and long stay beds in Cork, Kerry, Kilkenny, Louth, Tipperary and Westmeath.
