FinanceDublin.com - <b>Deals of the Year 2023: </b>MTM Engineering acquisition exemplifies role of private equity in driving international expansion

In a strategically important cornerstone platform investment, Tier 1 European Private Equity firm Waterland paid €30 million for a majority stake in MTM Engineering, an Irish headquartered provider of low and medium voltage cable installation and termination services across Europe. The company, which already derives the majority of its income from activities overseas, has since gone on to acquire two more business.

MTM is focused on large scale cabling projects for blue chip customers, including complex hyperscale data centre projects. It has completed large-scale industrial and renewable projects in Ireland, Belgium, The Netherlands, Germany, Denmark, Finland, Sweden, Switzerland, Spain, Austria and UK, and had sales of over €40 million in 2021.
