Following the disruption of the pandemic, in its first major financing in three years Avolon successfully closed a portfolio financing of 12 new technology aircraft through a secured deal in November 2022 with a syndicate of 12 banks. The deal facilitated demand from banking counterparties to improve the sustainability profile of their aviation lending exposure.

Avolon’s $660m Secured Bank Facility is the Aviation Finance Loans & Financing Deal of the Year and is one of the larger secured bank deals closed by a lessor in 2022. The transaction will fund the acquisition of a portfolio of 12 new technology aircraft on lease to a diversified list of airlines.

The senior secured facility was structured with a term of 75 months to enabled the borrower, an Avolon subsidiary, to fund the acquisition of a portfolio of aircraft on lease to ....
