Deals of the Year 2023 : AIB €150m green RCF supports IPUT’s sustainability agenda

AIB Real Estate Finance provided a green €150 million RCF to IPUT Real Estate Dublin. The seven year facility is being used to support IPUT in its sustainability agenda and net zero strategy for its existing and new build assets.
AIB is the only Irish lender to IPUT and the facility was the first RCF completed by AIB under the Loan Market Association’s ‘Green Loan Principles’. These seek to support borrowers in financing environmentally sound and sustainable projects that foster a net-zero emissions economy, protect and restore the environment, facilitate adaptation to climate change, and/or provide other environmental benefits.
