Smurfit Kappa Treasury (SKT) is a member of the Smurfit Kappa Group. SKT’s two broad functions are to act as the group treasury and the internal bank for the international subsidiaries of the Smurfit Kappa Group. These international subsidiaries account for more than 90 per cent of Smurfit Kappa Group's turnover. This includes the raising of debt funding, management of interest and exchange rate exposures and management of relationships with the groups wide range of bank and institutional debt providers.
As an internal bank, SKT's activities include centralised foreign exchange dealing/netting, intra-group lending, intra-group leasing, netting, receivables discounting and Securitisation and other advisory services. SKT has three subsidiaries: Smurfit Kappa European Packaging Ltd; Smurfit Kappa Leasing; and Smurfit Kappa Treasury Funding Ltd.
