Formerly Barclays Insurance (Dublin) Limited the company set up in 1998 to provide various non-life covers to Barclays' customers throughout the EU. It formerly underwrote payment protection insurance including Barclays Income Insurance and MortgageCare and launched a portfolio of income protection products. The company and Barclays Assurance (Dublin) Limited was acquired by Monument Re in 2016.
