Founded in 2002, as Avoca Capital, US private equity firm KKR acquired the company in 2014, renaming it KKR Credit Advisors (Ireland), to expand its credit platform 'to offer a full spectrum of credit opportunities globally'. At the time of the transaction Avoca had approximately $8 billion in assets under management.
