FDI Insurance DAC, formerly Ford Financial Limited, is a private insurance company licensed in Ireland on the 5th of June 2001 and is a wholly owned subsidiary of Ford Credit International which in turn is a wholly owned subsidiary of Ford Motor Company. It is authorised by the Central Bank of Ireland (CBI) to carry on the business of insurance in accordance with the regulations as defined in European Union (Insurance and Reinsurance) Regulations 2015 (S.I. 485 of 2015).
