Euro Insurances DAC
Euro Insurances DAC, trading as LeasePlan Insurance, was established by LeasePlan Corporation N.V. in 1994. In 2023 LeasePlan was acquired by ALD Automotive, French bank Societie General's automotive leasing division. The combined firm, majority owned by Societe Generale, with funds managed by TDR Capital holding a significant minority stake, rebranded as Ayvens.
Plans were put in place to merge both companies' Irish insurance entities, ALD RE Plc and Euro Insurances DAC. The merger was completed in April 2024 with Euro Insurances DAC the successor company.
