Caterpillar International Finance plc is a wholly owned subsidiary of Caterpillar Financial Services Corporation in the US. The parent company was established in early 1981 to provide financing and leasing alternatives for Caterpillar products in North America. It expanded geographically into Canada and Australia during the 1980s.
