Canada Life Re Ireland dac, formerly London Life and General Reinsurance dac, is a company incorporated in Ireland in 1991.
The Company is a wholly owned subsidiary of Canada Life Irish Holding Company Limited which in turn is a wholly owned subsidiary of The Canada Life Group (U.K.) Limited, which forms part of TSX-listed Great-West Life Co, whose ultimate parent is Canada's Power Corporation.
Canada Life Re Ireland dac is regulated by the Central Bank of Ireland under the European Union (Insurance and Reinsurance) Regulations 2015 to write life and non-life reinsurance and is subject to the EU's Solvency II regulations. The company's main business lines are Traditional Life, Structured Life, Payout Annuities, Non-life Structured and Property & Casualty.
