CACI Life Limited was established in 1999. The company's principal activity is the underwriting of life payment protection insurance in Europe.

In 2009 the company set up a French branch, CACI Vie, which writes insurance with LCL, the former Credit Lyonnais, which is now part of the Credit Agricole group, with written premiums expected to increase substantially as a result. In 2011 CACI established an R&D Centre in Dublin. Its initial focus is on enhancing the group’s risk management and modelling capabilities.
