AXIS Specialty Europe SE is a subsidiary of AXIS Capital Holdings Limited, Bermuda and was established in Dublin in 2002 as a sister operation to AXIS Re SE (AXIS Capital's European reinsurance subsidiary). The Company is an EU licensed direct non-life insurer. During 2003, the Company established a branch office in the UK, 'AXIS Specialty London' and during 2008, the Company established an Australian branch 'AXIS Specialty Australia'. The Company primarily writes the following lines of business: Property, Energy, Marine, Terrorism, Aviation, Credit and Political Risk, General Liability, Accident and Health and Professional Lines.
