AMO's Financial Eurocentre went live in October 1997. It was formerly Allergan Pharmaceuticals (Ireland) Limited. The company established a financial shared services centre in Westport, Co. Mayo in 2003. Advanced Medical Optics was acquired by Abbott Labs in Feb 2009. Pan-European cash management, intercompany lending/borrowing, investment, funding, foreign exchange risk management, treasury customer service, accounts receivable, human resources, database administration and IS help desk for all European markets are provided in this shared services centre.
