The Garda National Economic Crime Bureau
The Garda National Economic Crime Bureau (GNECB) (formerly known as the Garda Bureau of Fraud Investigation) was established in 1995. The Detective Chief Superintendent in charge of the Bureau reports to Assistant Commissioner, Special Crime Operations (SCO). The Bureau operates on a national basis and provides specialist support and guidance to national fraud investigators.
