Paddy is a partner in the firm's Finance and Capital Markets team in Dublin.

Paddy specialises in structured finance and securitisation and advises banks, asset managers, investors, trustees and issuers on a wide range of securitisation, structured finance and capital markets transactions. He has extensive experience in collateralised loan obligations (CLOs) and other asset-backed securitisations (including RMBS, CMBS and Auto ABS) involving Irish SPVs.

Paddy also advises asset managers on the establishment, maintenance and financing of European aggregation structures using Irish vehicles. He has advised a number of global asset managers on the establishment of loan origination and distressed debt acquisition structures using Irish SPV and / or ICAV structures. He has also advised on the acquisition and work-out of a number of non-performing Irish loan portfolios.

Paddy lectures on structured finance and securitisation as part of the Law Society of Ireland’s diploma in finance law.

Career:

Before joining Walkers, Paddy trained and worked as an associate at a top-five Irish Law firm. He also completed a six-month secondment to the Global Restructuring Group of Ulster Bank Ireland during this time.
