Ian McNamee is based in Walkers' Irish office where he is a partner the Finance and Capital Markets group and Chair of the Walkers' Learning & Development programme.

Ian's principal practice areas are fund finance, structured finance and securitisation (including capital relief trades / significant risk transfer synthetic securitisations). Ian is a leading Irish fund finance practitioner and has acted on a wide range of innovative high value cross-border fund finance transactions involving Irish funds and SPVs including subscription line / capital call facilities, hybrid facilities, asset backed loans / NAV facilities and other esoteric products. Ian regularly acts for leading financial institutions, alternative lenders, private credit funds, sponsors, limited partners, trustees and asset managers in relation to bespoke, tax efficient cross-border platforms structured through Ireland for a wide variety of asset classes across Europe, Asia and the US.
