He is responsible for many elements of end-to-end sustainability strategy, from assisting financial institutions in building transition to Net-Zero plans including Nature and Social, through to developing opportunities and strategies for capital deployment and reporting.
Sean’s professional background is in investment banking, and in his last role he was the Head of Sustainability Strategy and Group Climate lead for a leading financial institution.
In that role he worked closely with risk, reporting and the business units to deliver strategy, product development and channel delivery to facilitate the flow of sustainable capital to transition customers to the low carbon economy. Sean has extensive experience in capital markets, risk evaluation and delivering transformational business change programmes for clients within financial services.
Sean is an Adjunct Professor in Sustainable Finance at Trinity College Dublin driving education across the wider sustainable finance agenda.
Sean is passionate about assisting financial institutions in identifying their strategies for adopting a successful ESG framework from product to reporting, as those that do so are likely to have ultimately better corporate performance. Most importantly, this drives a significantly positive impact on the economy, environment and surrounding society.
