Career:
Ahmer has a diverse set of experience spanning multiple sectors and service lines. He advises clients on a diverse range of topics including technical accounting, new regulation implementation, investment valuation and impact assessment of new accounting standards including IFRS 9/17.
His experience encompasses delivering the audits of a number of the largest insurance, banking and Wealth and Asset Management clients as well as a number of advisory led banking projects. Previously with KPMG, Ahmer played a central role on the NAMA project and was tasked with advising and assisting NAMA in the audit of the valuations of the toxic bank loan assets purchased by NAMA. At KPMG London, he spent a year within the transaction services department and delivered a number of sell side financial due diligence projects.
Currently, Ahmer is assisting a number of insurance clients with transitioning to IFRS 9 and IFRS 17.
