Eversheds Sutherland's Asset Management, FS Regulation and Governance Team ("FS Team") provides a full range of legal services to clients in the asset management and financial services industry. Eversheds Sutherland, as a full service global international law firm, works seamlessly across borders to deliver tailored advice in the areas of investment funds, asset management, and complex financial services regulatory and governance matters. We regularly advise clients on the structuring, authorisation and ongoing operations of the full spectrum of Irish regulated fund products from retail/traditional products such as unsophisticated UCITS and exchange traded funds to alternative investment vehicles such as hedge funds, fund of funds, property funds, ESG funds and sophisticated UCITS together with advising on the relevant authorisations and ongoing regulatory requirements of their service providers. The FS Team advises clients in the negotiation of OTC derivative transactions, securities lending, inward marketing as well as advising investment firms on legal, regulatory and governance issues. Eversheds Sutherland has considerable experience advising on all aspects of the depositary and custody chain and is a thought leader in industry.
With increasing complexity in regulation (such as AIFMD, UCITS, EMIR, MIFID, CRD IV, PSD 2, AML, Brexit) and the fast paced and dynamic requirements of innovators such as fintech, blockchain, and cryptocurrency firms, the FS Team provide practical and commercially focused legal advice tailored to the differing needs of start-ups firms and blue chip companies.
