Jake Pugh has over thirty-five years experience in the capital markets. He worked for Drexel Burnham on the LIFFE floor in 1983 and traded his own account as a local before managing money as a CTA. After standing as a parliamentary candidate in the General Election of 1997, he spent six years consulting in the Barclays Group working on a number of new business initiatives across the wealth management division. He was MD of ICAP Futures from 2003-06 and in the last 10 years has advised on a number of significant market infrastructure projects as an independent consultant. His client base is global and includes exchanges, CCPs, banks, brokers, vendors, asset managers and pension funds. His knowledge of product specific market microstructure along with a deep understanding of the regulatory landscape allows him to advise on business design and how to achieve optimal commercial outcomes.
