Michael Deeny

Michael Deeny is Managing Director of DEPFA ACS BANK, a subsidiary bank of the Dublin-based DEPFA BANK Group. He joined DEPFA in 1996, and since then has worked in the public finance, controlling and infrastructure finance departments.

In 2004, he was appointed Managing Director of DEPFA ACS BANK, the entity with primary responsibility for the issuance of long term funding products for the DEPFA Group.

Prior to joining the DEPFA BANK Group, Michael worked for AIB Bank from 1988 to 1996. He holds B.Comm.(1988) and MBA (2002) degrees from University College Dublin and is a qualified accountant.

Michael was recently appointed Chairman of the Federation of International Banks in Ireland (FIBI), an affiliate of the Irish Banking Federation. FIBI represents the international and wholesale banking community in Ireland, with over 50 members including 25 of the 50 largest global banks.
