FinTru chooses Belfast for nearshore office
FinTrU Limited, the London-based business process outsourcing business set up by former Morgan Stanley executive Darragh McCarthy in 2013, has chosen Belfast for its nearshore operations.
FinTrU offers outsourced financial regulatory processes to investment banks and other financial institutions and is creating a centre of excellence in Belfast to support its growth plans. It aims to create 80 new jobs by the end of 2016.
'With increasing regulatory requirements within the financial services sector, we identified an opportunity to provide process outsourcing to help companies achieve transparency and compliance', said FinTrU CEO McCarthy. McCarthy is a graduate of UCD and spent 18 years working at Morgan Stanley, holding roles including head fixed income sales EMEA, head fixed income sales North America, COO for Institutional Securities Group and COO for EMEA prior to setting up FinTrU, or Financial Transparency Utility.
