Adam has broad experience advising on the structuring, establishment and authorisation of a wide spectrum of Irish regulated UCITS and AIFs (including hedge funds, private equity funds, alternative UCITS, managed account platforms, hybrid funds, funds of funds and master-feeders), regulated AIFMs and UCITS management companies, and unregulated partnership and SPV structures. His practice also covers the corporate governance, financing and cross border distribution, management and relocation/ redomiciliation of such entities into and out of Ireland. His clients include asset managers, investment banks and fund service providers.

Adam joined Maples and Calder in 2009 following 5 years in the investment funds group at a large domestic Irish corporate law firm, including a period with the legal team of a London investment bank. He established and headed the Irish funds desk in Maples' Cayman Islands office from 2012 to 2014. More recently, Adam established Maples' Irish funds desk in our London office. He is an active current member of Irish Funds' Brexit steering group and its Hedge Funds, MiFID II and UK Distribution working groups, as well as a member of the British Irish Chamber of Commerce Brexit Sub-Committee. He is separately heavily involved in the Irish funds industry's engagement with government in its review of Ireland's limited partnership legislation.

Adam has been recommended by leading industry publications such as Chambers & Partners, which cited his "sensible approach and great knowledge base." One commentator adds: "He is commercial, reliable and responsive, I always have faith he will do what he says."

He is a regular contributor to international legal and financial publications, and has spoken at various industry conferences.
