Andrew is a partner in Walkers' Finance & Capital Markets group and advises leading international financial institutions, arrangers, trustees, sponsors and managers on a broad range of cross-border, big-ticket structured finance, securitisation and debt capital markets transactions with a particular focus on ABS, CMBS, CLOs, ECP/ABCP, insurance linked securities (ILS) & other structured products, true sale & synthetic securitisations, capital relief trades / significant risk transfer (SRT) transactions, private placements and structured credit.

Andrew also acts for lenders and borrowers on a number of complex and innovative fund financing solutions including equity bridge / capital call subscription line facilities, leveraged NAV / hybrid and borrowing base deals, co-invest facilities, GP/manager fee lines, after-care facilities, acquisition financings, liquidity and NAV based margin loans, fund of fund financings, repo financings, synthetic borrowings via TRS and CFDs and more esoteric fund linked derivative products.

In addition, Andrew also regularly acts for leading hedge fund managers, private equity firms, credit opportunity funds and other market participants with respect to establishing bespoke, tax efficient Irish platforms for their investments, leveraging and loan origination activity in the US, Europe, Asia and emerging markets. He frequently represents lenders & borrowers on traditional domestic and cross-border commercial lending, real estate finance, supply chain finance, invoice discounting, private equity finance and acquisition finance. In particular, Andrew acts as lender counsel to a number of Irish financial institutions and alternative / non-traditional lenders active in the Irish commercial real estate, residential development finance and social & affordable housing space.

Andrew is a regular industry panelist and contributor to thought leadership in his key practice areas. He has structured and advised clients on numerous market-first and award winning deals.
