Special Areas:

Philip is a partner in our Finance Group with particular expertise in relation to acquisition finance, property finance, construction finance and syndicated lending and regularly acts as lead counsel in numerous multi-jurisdiction transactions. He has a particular expertise in lending into QIAIF structures and also has extensive experience in relation to re-structuring, workouts and pre-enforcement strategies for lenders. Philip has acted for a number of purchasers, sellers and funders on a variety of loan portfolios sales.

Philip provides general corporate banking law advice to a range of Irish and international clients on an ongoing basis.

Projects:

Acting for a syndicate of lenders in connection with (i) the provision of acquisition facilities to the Valeo Group to enable it to acquire the Rowse Honey Group and (ii) certain other matters relating to the composition of the lending syndicate

Acting for Allied Irish Banks, p.l.c. in connection with the provision of facilities to the Doyle Shipping Group. This transaction was voted Finance Dublin’s Mid-Market financing deal of the year

Acting for a lender in connection with the provision of acquisition facilities to the purchaser of the Trinity Capital Hotel, Dublin

Acting for a lender in connection with the provision of acquisition facilities to the purchaser of the Clarion Hotel, IFSC, Dublin

Acting for a lender in connection with the provision of acquisition facilities to the purchaser of the Hilton Charlemont Hotel, Dublin

Acting for Allied Irish Banks, p.l.c. in connection with the refinancing by the Hickeys Pharmacy Group of its indebtedness to IBRC

BCL (International), University College Dublin. Qualified as a solicitor in 2004.
