Coveney, Shane
Special Areas:Shane is a partner in the asset management and investment fund team with particular expertise in exchange traded funds (ETFs), UCITS and Alternative Investment Funds.Shane joined Dillon Eustace in 2018 having spent over 5 years with another leading Irish law firm. He has over 10 years’ experience in structuring, establishing and advising Irish regulated investment funds and in providing regulatory advice to leading asset managers and fund promoters both globally and domestically. He advises on exchange traded funds (ETFs), UCITS and Alternative Investment Funds (open-ended, limited liquidity and closed-ended) including private equity funds and property funds. He also advises on the establishment and ongoing regulatory obligations of providers to funds, including UCITS management companies and Alternative Investment Fund Managers. Shane is currently a member of the Irish Funds’ EMIR Working Group. He has also been admitted to practice in England and Wales and has a Diploma in Applied Finance Law from the Law Society of Ireland.
