Special Areas:Jon is partner and Head of ByrneWallace LLP's Litigation and Dispute Resolution practice and also leads the Insurance Regulation Group.He is one of Ireland's leading practitioners in the areas of corporate and white collar crime, commercial litigation and large-scale project-based investigations within the financial services, health and insurance sectors. He also advises major public sector clients in the conduct of high profile statutory and non-statutory inquiries. Jon's specialist areas include financial services, corporate and banking regulatory litigation and investigations. He also advises on company and corporate disputes, regulatory disputes, and provides project based litigation in the construction and logistics sectors, and intellectual property/information technology matters. His work focuses on the early economic analysis of cases, rational behaviour in dispute situations, and strategies designed to achieve business gains where conflicts arise. Jon is well versed in all types of Court actions including Mareva Injunctions, Anton Piller Orders and other pre-emptive remedies, with high success rate in getting disputes resolved quickly and effectively. Jon's experience includes being lead Irish Counsel on various finance investigations, enquiries and other contentious regulatory mandates. He has represented clients in Ireland and in the UK in relation to money laundering investigations, disciplinary action in relation to the FSA and the PLUS Regulator on investment markets investigations and taking client claims to the FSA and the PLUS Market regulator.
