||The firm's award-winning Insolvency and Dispute Resolution (IDR) group advises on all aspects of contentious and non-contentious insolvencies and restructurings. It regularly acts for distressed debtors, creditors including institutional lenders or investors, liquidators, receivers, examiners or other insolvency practitioners and court appointed officers. It acts for clients at all stages of the decline curve from consensual restructurings and rehabilitations, to contentious and non-contentious insolvency proceedings.
Other advisory support the IDR group provides includes: litigation funding; making court applications on the Capetown Convention (Aircraft); and managing any court role in large restructurings and or reorganisations such as schemes of arrangement, cross border mergers, company restoration and share capital reductions. In addition the IDR group provides specialist dispute resolution expertise in the financial services sector including commercial disputes and regulatory investigations (in conjunction with the Regulatory and Risk Advisory team). It regularly advises Irish domestic and international banks, financial institutions, investment firms, funds domiciled in Ireland and investment managers and service providers to such funds. It has particular expertise in advising on complex, high-value cases heard in the Commercial List of the High Court as well as on other forms of alternative dispute resolution, including international and domestic arbitrations, mediations and expert determinations. The IDR Group is particularly renowned for its expertise in contentious cross-border and multi-jurisdictional mandates.
