Profile: The Asset Finance group at Maples and Calder offers almost 40 years' experience in the aviation industry advising financial institutions, lessors, owners, airlines and investors around the world on the laws of the Cayman Islands, Ireland and the BVI.

MaplesFS, through its division Maples Fiduciary, provides specialized fiduciary, corporate formation, accounting, regulatory compliance and administration services to a wide range of financial institutions, investment managers, structured finance vehicles, international corporations and private clients from our global network of offices.

Collectively, the Maples group provides legal and fiduciary services in the leading domiciles where entities are established for aviation, including the Cayman Islands, Ireland, Delaware, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, United Kingdom as well as in the BVI.

Awards: Maples Asset Finance group won Airline Economics European Equity Deal of the year 2017 for Amedeo Air Four Plus equity financing for two Etihad Airways A380s, Airfinance Journal Deal of the Year Awards Bank Loan Deal of the Year for Accipiter's $1.2bn 7-year recourse financing of 43 aircraft and Asia Pacific Deal of the Year for Cheung Kong / Accipiter Acquisition of portfolios from GECAS and BOC Aviation as well as the Africa Deal of the Year for the Comair Ex-Im Financing in ZAR Deal.
