Stephen specialises in advising companies in financial distress providing innovative and practical turnaround solutions. He also leads statutory insolvency appointments such as examinerships, receiverships and liquidations.

Stephen joined Grant Thornton in 2009 as a director within the Advisory department and was admitted to the partnership in 2012. He heads up the financial services advisory department and is a member of the Global Financial Services Steering Committee at Grant Thornton International.
He spent ten years with a professional services firm in the UK where he undertook a central role in the management and development of the insolvency department.
Stephen specialises in advising banks, funds and asset management institutions – in particular related to transactions and NPLs. He also leads statutory insolvency appointments such as examinerships, receiverships and liquidations.
Stephen is a fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants UK (FCCA UK) and is also a qualified UK insolvency practitioner. He holds a Bachelor of Arts Honours degree (BA) in Business Studies obtained at Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen.
