Shona is partner in advisory and Head of Asset Management, providing solutions to clients across the financial services industry.

She works with clients offering global centralised solutions around their finance function and financial operations including financial reporting & accounting, compliance activities as well as finance system change and transformation through project teams, interim staffing and fully outsourced solutions to support clients’ in-house teams, from our hub in Ireland supported by the global network across Grant Thornton.

She has led projects across the financial services industry including in asset management, banking, insurance and payment service providers, specializing in providing centrally delivered, global outsourced accounting, reporting and process improvement engagements.

Shona leads our Asset Management Group across the firm in Ireland and internationally across the global firm. She has a 360 degree view of the financial services industry with 20 years experience across industry, regulation and professional services including an 18 month secondment to the Central Bank of Ireland’s consumer protection division and eight years with a US Global Asset Servicing institution.

Qualifications:

Shona holds a Bachelor of Business Studies from Dublin City University. She also completed a Diploma in Internal Audit with the Institute of Internal Auditors and has achieved her Green Belt in Lean Six Sigma project management techniques.

Memberships:

Shona is a fellow of the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants. She is a member of the prospective members group of Irish Funds as well as a member of 100 Women in Finance.
