Shona is a Partner in our Financial Accounting and Advisory Services division and is Global Head of Asset Management for Grant Thornton. She leads outsourced global statutory reporting, accounting and compliance projects for leading financial services clients. She works with clients across the globe in key Financial Services hubs here in Dublin as well as overseas, primarily in New York, Boston, Toronto and Luxembourg. Shona develops flexible delivery models to support her clients needs. Through this work she has vast experience of working in a virtual world, running teams around the globe and brings these insights to clients which is especially important in the current remote working environment.
Career:
Shona has worked in the Financial Services across Industry, Regulation and Professional services and has a 360 degree view of the industry. She has 18 years experience working with Grant Thornton and the Central Bank of Ireland and prior to that Citi Hedge Fund Services, Bisys Fund Services and Bank of Ireland.
Qualifications:
Shona holds a Bachelor of Business Studies from Dublin City University. She also completed a Diploma in Internal Audit with the Institute of Internal Auditors and has achieved her Green Belt in Lean Six Sigma project management techniques.
Memberships:
Shona is a fellow of the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants. She is a member of the prospective members group of Irish Funds as well as a member of 100 Women in Finance.
