Orla has extensive asset management experience having worked in financial reporting and audit management and fund accounting roles with leading Investment banks for over 15 years. Orla was head of financial reporting and audit management for JPMorgan Bank Irelands hedge fund business with responsibility for end to end financial statement and audit oversight, governance of outsourced operations, people and process management for hedge fund clients in Ireland. Orla is also a qualified executive coach, trainer and facilitator. She joined Grant Thornton's Financial Services Advisory Practice in 2018 and works with clients in advisory across financial services and in the areas of people strategy, culture, executive and team coaching. Orla has also was recently seconded into the Central Bank of Ireland where she worked with the Supervisory Risk Division on the development of supervision frameworks within the funds sector.
Career:
Orla joined IFS State Street in 1999 and also worked for BNY Mellon in fund accounting operations until 2004. She then joined JPMorgan Hedge Fund Services moving into a financial reporting role in 2005. Orla joined Grant Thornton's financial services advisory practice in 2018.
Qualifications:
Orla is a fellow of the Association for Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA) and holds a B.A. in Business & Economics from Trinity College Dublin. She holds a Diploma in Coaching Practice and Ethics and Training Delivery and Evaluation and is a certified psychometrics practitioner (Emotional Intelligence, Risk & Decision Making, Behaviours and Personality and Team assessments). Orla is also a Certified Investment Fund Director (CIFD).
