Special Areas:

Dwayne joined Grant Thornton in 2016 and is a Partner in the Firm's Financial Services Advisory unit. FSA offers leading risk, consulting and advisory services to banks, investment firms, insurance companies and funds. He specialises in advising Clients on key strategic, risk and regulatory engagements. Areas of expertise include Quantitative Risk Advisory, Regulatory Risk and Strategy and Regulatory Risk Support Services, Non-Performing Loans, Credit Risk and Conduct Risk.

Projects:

Dwayne has led numerous and significant engagements ranging from complex credit model development to NPL strategy design and implementation. The projects cover domestic significant institutions, IFSC banks, large investment firms, EU banks supervised by the ECB/ SSM and the Central Bank of Ireland.

Career:

Dwayne has helped develop the Firm's risk and regulatory advisory offering to its current position and standing in the market. Previously he held a senior role in the Central Bank of Ireland as Head of Banking Supervision: Analysis Division. In this role, he was responsible for managing and leading a number of teams across six functional areas ranging from Stress Testing, Risk Models, Supervisory Policy, Recovery Planning and Bank Authorisation. He represented the Central Bank on numerous EBA and ECB/ SSM committees (including TRM and the Comprehensive Assessment steering committees). A thought leader in the financial services industry with a track record of leadership, design and delivery of some of the highest profile Central Bank projects, he held a central position in the post-crisis management of the Central Bank and was a key architect of the many of the reforms in Banking Supervision post-2010.

Qualifications:

Dwayne holds a first class honours MSc in Investment & Treasury and an honours degree in Business Studies, both from DCU Business School. Dwayne finished third overall in his MSc class and was awarded first class honours for his thesis.
