Cillian qualified as a solicitor in the Financial Services Group of Dillon Eustace in January 2008 and became a Partner in 2015. Cillian advises primarily in the area of investment funds and has advised clients on a wide range of legal and regulatory matters. Cillian has particular experience in the establishment of Alternative Investment Funds Managers Directive (AIFMD) compliant Qualifying Alternative Investor Funds (QIAIFs) as well as UCITS products (investment companies and unit trusts) and, more recently, on the establishment of Irish Collective Investment Asset-management Vehicles (ICAVs). Cillian was seconded to the Legal Department of a large US Asset Manager client based in London between 2011 and 2012 as well carrying out a secondment to the Dillon Eustace, Cayman Islands office in 2013. Cillian has also lectured in the Law Society of Ireland on investment fund related matters.
