BDO’s Angela Fleming provides an overview of key measures in Budget 2024 including issues of importance to the Financial Services sector, and specifically the international funds sector. These include BEPS implementation plans, reforms of interest deductiblity rules and updates to the R&D Tax regime. One of themes of the Budget was looking at ways of simplifying the existing tax code, and here she cautions against lengthy consultation processes and prolonged implementation timeframes delaying sound and necessary legislative changes.
