Investment Conference hears about NI strengths in business, professional and financial services
October 12th 2013: A workshop focusing on business, professional and financial services sectors was part of the Northern Ireland Investment Conference, hosted by the NI Executive,and organised by Invest NI.

Jeremy Fitch, Invest NI’s Executive Director of Business and Sector Development, said: “Belfast is the number one destination globally for financial technology investment and our business services sectors, particularly legal services, have experienced significant development in recent years.

“Northern Ireland’s reputation as a business friendly, cost-competitive region with a skilled workforce has attracted many global names within these sectors including Capita, Financial Times, Citi, NYSE Technologies and Axiom Law.”

The workshop included representatives from First Derivatives, Herbert Smith Freehills, Concentrix, Allen & Overy, Allstate and PwC as panel members

Jeremy Fitch said: “Northern Ireland’s operating costs are highly competitive with the rest of the UK and we have a growing reputation in global markets for innovation, quality products and services, combined with a skilled, flexible and committed workforce. By showcasing these strengths we aim to demonstrate that although Northern Ireland is small it is able to successfully meet the needs of large international companies and support the growth of ambitious local businesses.”
