The transaction involved some novel tax analysis, not only in respect of the acquisition of Skillko, but also in establishing an Irish holding company which could be utilised in the future with a view to expanding HSI’s operations into the UK and EU.
The winner of the M&A International Private Equity Deal of the Year is HSI’s acquisition of Skillko. Skillko, based in Westport is a leading provider of competency management induction processes and supplier onboarding solutions, primarily serving customers across the EU and UK. Skillko has a client base of over 100 customers and 60,000 active user accounts across Ireland and the UK.
