Deals of the Year 2025: BNP Paribas and Apollo in one of the largest-ever bilateral financings for directly-originated credit assets

BNP Paribas deepened its collaboration with private equity firm Apollo and its global credit platform ATLAS SP Partners with a $5 billion strategic financing and capital markets partnership. The deal sees the French bank expand its capital markets activity and create a new growth pole and allows ATLAS SP Partners to leverage BNP Paribas’ securitisation structuring and distribution capabilities and accelerate the platform’s growth.
The winner of the Financial Services Strategic Financing & Capital Markets Collaboration Deal of the Year is Apollo’s ATLAS SP Partner’s $5 billion collaboration with BNP Paribas. The deal saw the French bank make a day-one financing commitment of $5 billion (which is expected to increase over time) that supports Apollo and ATLAS’ investment-grade, asset-backed credit origination activity alongside a capital markets collaboration that sees BNP Paribas support securitisations....
