PATRICK LARDNER, CEO of irish Funds says that the Irish Government’s confirmation of the importance of the funds and asset management sector and more generally, the importance of investing as an activity and an objective is itself is important. He says that as competition within the EU intensifies, Ireland must continue to invest in its legislative, regulatory, and operational infrastructure to remain at the forefront of the global market.

These fund leaders emphasised the structural importance of private market investments as a complement to traditional assets, indicating that institutional and retail investors alike are looking for diversified portfolios that include both public and private assets.
