Ireland can capitalise on global private assets opportunity if tool gap is filled
Irish Funds head Pat Lardner reviews the development of the EU’s funds landscape under the previous EU legislative term, looking at what lies ahead under the new term and the priorities for the funds industry to further enhance Ireland’s ecosystem. He says there is a gap in Ireland’s funds toolbox for managing investments in private assets which, if filled, presents an opportunity in a key growth area, while the new ELTIF, revised AIF Rulebook and the upcoming report from Fund Sector Review all present positive developments for further growth of the industry.
