The acquisition of DID Electrical by rival Select Technology Group creates a retailer with a combined footprint of 29 stores across Ireland and revenues of €250m and accelerates the group’s growth strategy.
The winner of the Mergers & Acquisitions: Retail Deal of the Year is Select Technology Group’s acquisition of DID Electrical. The deal creates an Irish-owned retail group with 51 stores across Ireland and the UK with complementary business models – Select is a leading premium reseller of Apple products while DID sells a wide range of electrical appliances for the domestic and business markets.
