The sale of Speed Fibre Group to Cordiant is the final chapter in one of the most significant and complex recent transactions in the Irish market and completes the disposal of the Irish Infrastructure Funds’ Irish assets. It gives Speed Fibre Group a well-resourced and experienced digital infrastructure owner to support the expansion of its fibre network.
Cordiant entered the Irish fibre market in 2023 through the acquisition of Speed Fibre Group in a move that gives the technology infrastructure investor greater portfolio diversification and cash flow generation as well as a major foothold in the highly attractive Irish broadband market which was reflected in the return Speed Fibre Group’s backers realised on the sale. The transaction is the Mergers & Acquisitions: Communications infrastructure Deal of the Year.
