A&L Goodbody appoints Eileen Roberts as its new Chair
A&L Goodbody has announced the appointment of Eileen Roberts as Chair of the partnership. One of the foremost commercial litigation advisers in the jurisdiction, she will succeed ALG's current Chair, Catherine Duffy, on 1st May. After a successful three-year term Catherine will continue her role as one of the firm's senior finance partners.
Eileen Roberts is one of ALG's most experienced partners in its Litigation and Dispute Resolution Department. She will continue to work with her existing clients alongside her role as Chair.

Eileen Roberts qualified as a solicitor with A&L Goodbody in 1991 and became a partner in 2000. She is an experienced commercial litigator specialising in large scale commercial disputes and risk management. Areas of expertise include corporate disputes, property, financial services, pensions, insurance, aviation and maritime. She is also an experienced mediator.
She is also a former director of the charity Junior Achievement/Young Enterprise Ireland Ltd. She is described by Legal 500 as "a leading lawyer" and as "superb and extremely experienced" by Chambers Global. Eileen is listed as a leading mediation lawyer in the Who's Who Legal directory 2018. She is a committee member of the Irish Commercial Litigation Association and chaired the Sub-Committee of that Association which produced the Good Practice Discovery Guide for Commercial Litigation in Ireland. Eileen lectures on the Law Society Diploma course in Commercial Litigation and she writes and speaks regularly on related topics.
