Finneran, Brian
Special Areas:Brian Finneran is an Irish resident with over 22 years' experience in the financial services industry and is a director of Bridge Fund Management Limited.Career:Brian is an Executive Director of Bridge Fund Management Limited with responsibility of the day to day operations of the Super Management Company.Since joining Bridge in November 2014, Brian was appointed the Designated Person (PCF-39) for Fund Risk Management, to a number of self-managed UCITS funds, UCITS management companies and AIFMs. He has also undertaken a number of risk-based consultancy projects for asset managers. Brian has also acted as the long-term Risk Manager for an Irish Super Management Company with over €10bn in AUM in over 60 UCITS and non-UCITS sub-funds in Irish and Lux domiciled fund umbrellas with a full range of strategies. The Super Management retained portfolio management in Ireland and also appointed the parent company in Milan as a sub-investment manager. Brian chaired the Risk Committee which the Irish-based risk team and the risk team of the sub-investment manager in Milan reported in to on a monthly basis. He was also responsible for designing the AIFMD risk framework for the company and enhancing the risk framework of the management of the UCITS funds. Qualifications:Brian holds a Degree in Accounting & Finance from Dublin City University and is an affiliate of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.Memberships:Brian is a former chair of the Irish Funds Investment Risk Working group.
