International Investment Manager
Derek is an Invest Northern Ireland, International Investment Manager. He manages the relationships with new Foreign Direct Investment opportunities to Northern Ireland. Derek's focus is in the Financial, Professional & Business Services and ICT sectors from initial scoping meetings throughout the world through to the inward visits, negotiations and delivery of a range of assistance packages at various Government levels. Derek has negotiated new investments with customers such as Firstsource Solutions, Axa Ireland, EY LLP, Deloitte, Convergys, Eishtec and more recently with Baker & McKenzie, Herbert Smith Freehills, Allen & Overy LLP, Axiom Inc, Tullett Prebon and Pearsons. These and other investments have generated over STG300m in investment and have led to the creation of nearly 8,000 new jobs in Northern Ireland. Derek is a past, Chairperson of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators in Northern Ireland and Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing. He has also been involved with Young Enterprise NI in order to raise interest and awareness of the world and entrepreneurship.
