Markus Herrmann

Head of Global ABS Strategy
HSBC Bank plc
Markus Herrmann, together with his team based in London and New York, focuses on the UK, European, Asian, US and other international ABS and RMBS markets in the context of HSBC Groups Global Fixed Income Strategy. HSBC ranked among the top ABS research teams in the Euromoney Research surveys published in 2004 through 2006. Markus joined HSBC in 2003 from Deutsche Bank, and has been working in securitisation and covered bond research for more than ten years. He is a regular speaker at international ABS conferences and contributed research articles to a number of published monographs on European capital markets, securitisation and credit derivatives. He is a member of the Market Standards and Practices Subcommittee, and the Senior Researchers Working Group, of the European Securitisation Forum. Dr Herrmann holds a PhD in Finance, summa cum laude, from Universitat Konstanz, where he previously completed a Diplom-Volkswirt (MSc).
