Bloomberg visits Ireland's largest dealing room at Bank of Ireland Global Markets
6th June 2018: Michael R. Bloomberg, the founder of Bloomberg LP and former Mayor of New York City visited long standing client Bank of Ireland Global Markets on 5th June where he was given a tour of Ireland's largest dealing room.
During his visit Bloomberg met with Francesca McDonagh, CEO, Bank of Ireland Group and Sean Crowe, CEO Markets and Treasury, Bank of Ireland.

McDonagh said 'I was delighted to welcome Michael to Bank of Ireland. It was a pleasure to speak with him about the ways we are supporting our customer ambitions on the international stage, as well as the positive role that business can play in the community.'

Part of the Group’s Markets and Treasury business, over 175 people are based in the Dublin dealing room and cover a range of activity including; transacting in a range of market instruments on behalf of both Bank of Ireland Group and customers. These include both business, mainly SMEs, and personal customers who require foreign exchange needs delivered through a variety of online channels.

Crowe said 'As a long standing Bloomberg customer, it is a real privilege to host Michael and his team here in Bank of Ireland. It was also a pleasure to walk him through Ireland’s largest dealing room, introducing him both to long standing colleagues who are immersed in every aspect of various international markets as well as some of the newest graduate entrants to the Bank.'
